Rose M. Lazzaro

January 30, 1917 — April 7, 2018

Rose M. Lazzaro, 101, of Worcester died peacefully on Saturday April 7, 2018 in the Christopher House surrounded by her loved ones. Rose is survived by her brothers, Anthony, Ralph, and Armando Lazzaro and his wife Helen. many nephews, nieces, and great nephews and great nieces who affectionately called her Aunty Rosie. She was predeceased by her dear sister Phyllis Vigliotti. Rose was born in Worcester daughter of the late Giovanni and Margaret (Pasquerella) Lazzaro and lived here all her life. Rose attended Worcester Public Schools, and at an early age went to work at various Clothing stores as a seamstress. She retired from the Belmont Home where she worked for many years in their Service Department.  Rose was a life member of the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St. Anne, where she was also a member of the Golden Years Club. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Rose was such a positive person at all times, even as she got older and her sight was very limited she was always peaceful, humble, and kind. She never would say anything negative about anyone or anything. Rose will be terribly missed by her loving family and friends. Rose’s family will gather privately. There are no calling hours, Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery with her parents. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. is assisting the family.
