James Peter DuVarney

March 20, 1949 — March 29, 2018

James Peter DuVarney, 69, of Worcester went home to Eternal Glory on Thursday, March 29, 2018 to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  After a long illness he has fallen asleep surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his beloved wife of 34 years, Donna (Ducas) DuVarney, his son Brendon DuVarney and wife Rebecca, his two daughters Kellie Landrouche and husband Brad, Melissa Powers and husband Steve, his sister Elaine Tibbetts and husband Ron all of Worcester.  He also leaves his three step daughters, Jessica Biancaniello and husband Michael of Oxford, Tina Seymour of Oxford, and fiancée Andy Beresik of Webster, Jane Belcastro and husband Mark of South Grafton, 14 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was the son of Peter and Ethel DuVarney. In 1964 Mr. DuVarney was the Drummer in a 6 piece band called “The Tellmarx” and played at school dances, proms and was competitive in “The Battle Of The Bands.”  He made his first Master Recording at the age of 16 called “Rigormortis.” Mr. DuVarney graduated from Doherty Memorial High School in 1968 and went on to Boy’s Trade as a Post Graduate to become a Machinist. In 1970 he worked at Harrington & Richardson as a rifle inspector. He also was employed at United States Steel as a wiring cable inspector. In 1977 he worked for Jamesbury Corporation as a Class B Machinist. Then 1984 he completed a course at the Career Education Training Center as a Certified Computer Electronics Technician and became employed at Lowell Corp. as a Manufacturing Engineer for eight years. In 1993 he was the Drummer for Triumphant Life Church Worship Team. For four years Mr. DuVarney worked as a Professional Videographer in 1998 at First Assembly of God Church in Worcester and was the Drummer in the Worship Team.  He also was the Worship Leader for Christian’s Fighting Cancer. James and his wife Donna were ordained Disciples at Sharing God’s Love Ministries of Worcester and were the worship leaders for Sunday Services.  They are the founders of “Shiloh Healing Ministries”.  Together they served under New Arising Christian Church in Millbury for two years as the Worship Leaders for Sunday Services and Healing Services. Mr. DuVarney’s love for the Lord inspired him to write and compose beautiful worship songs which he enjoyed singing and playing on his keyboard. He was blest with the gift of fixing almost everything he put his hands to... from electronics to industrial machinery.  He was known as Mr. Machine Doctor.  He will be greatly missed. Till we meet again... Love You to the Heavens and Back.
