Victor E. Brunelle, 95, a longtime resident of Boylston, passed away in the comforts of his own home on March 26, 2018. Victor was born in Worcester, the fifth child of nine to the late Albert V. and Viola (Cote) Brunelle. Victor’s wife of 47 years, Frances E. (Dumas) Brunelle passed away on May 5, 1994. He is survived by his five children, Victor E. Brunelle. and his wife Marsha of West Charlston, Vermont, Jeanne M. Hill and her husband Edward of Rochdale, Ronald J. Brunelle and his husband Miguel Rodriguez Gonzalez of Oakland Park, FL, Theresa F. Brunelle of Boylston and John J. Brunelle and his wife Janice of Holden; eleven grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son, Albert R. Brunelle; four brothers, Normand, Herve, Robert and Wilfred Brunelle; four sisters, Theresa Brown, Jeannette Morrow, Lorraine and Marie Brunelle. Victor served his country proudly for the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He was wounded on Iwo Jima on March 5, 1945. Due to his injuries, Victor was the proud recipient of a Purple Heart. Victor worked as a tool and die maker for B Plastics and Crisci Tool and Die, Inc retired in 1982. Victor was an avid golfer and a longtime member of the Boylston Golf League. He was also an active member of St. Mary of the Hills Church. Victor would also attend La Salette Men’s Retreat every year for over 50 years. He loved to travel and enjoyed playing cribbage. Victor was a devoted friend to many. Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours on Wednesday, March 28th from 4-7 pm at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Services for Victor will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from the funeral home with a Liturgy of the Word Service at 11:00 am in St. Mary of the Hills Church, 630 Cross St., Boylston. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Boylston.
