Dennis A. Breitenfeld, 79, of Fiskdale, formerly of Worcester, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Saint Vincent Hospital. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of forty-four years, Phyllis T. (Masiello) Breitenfeld; a daughter, Laura Pauplis and her husband Mark of Cherry Valley; a daughter in law, April Breitenfeld, wife of his late son, Erik Breitenfeld, who predeceased him in 2016. Dennis is also survived by a brother Michael Breitenfeld and his wife Sandy in Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, Angela Leo and her husband Ken of Homosossa, FL; a brother-in-law, Andrew Masiello of Chantilly, VA; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. His brother, Terrence Breitenfeld predeceased him. He was born in Elmore, Minnesota, son of the late, Arnold and Lillian (Thompson) Breitenfeld. He grew up in Elmore, where he graduated from high school, and later joined the United States Army. He moved to this area in the early 1960’s, settling in Worcester, where he lived for many years before moving to Fiskdale eleven years ago. Dennis was an inside sales person with Abrasives and Tools Company in Worcester for thirty-seven years, retiring in November 2017. He was a member of Saint Joseph’s Church in Charlton; he enjoyed cribbage games and playing pool. Calling Hours for Dennis will be on Wednesday, March 28, in Saint Joseph Church, 10 H Putnam Road Ext., Charlton, MA, from 9:45 am until 10:45 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
