Felix J. Shilalie formerly of Worcester and Auburn passed away peacefully on March 17, 2018 in Westborough at the age of 96. Felix was born on October 12, 1921 in Whitinsville, Massachusetts. He was the son of the late Felix and Mary (Stuczynski) Shilalie. Felix is survived by his sons, Bob and his wife Jane of Holliston and Paul and his wife Patricia of Milton. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Michael Shilalie and his wife Dana, Kate Ostrowski and her husband Ben, Beth Murray and her husband John, Caitlin Shilalie, Kara Shilalie and Daniel Shilalie. He was Great-grandpa to Karoline, Jack, Charlie, Olivia and William. He was predeceased by his former wife Antoinette (Lunatavich) Shilalie, his daughter Debra Shilalie and his sisters, Olga Pleska-Maki and Rita Richardson and brother, John Shilalie. Felix was a graduate of Classical High School in Worcester. He served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II on the USS Woonsocket protecting convoys crossing the Atlantic. Felix graduated from Worcester Junior College with an Associate’s Degree in Electronics and then from Wentworth Institute with another Associate’s Degree in Electronics. Later he received an Honorary Bachelor’s Degree in Technology from Worcester Institute of Technology. After thirty-seven years, Felix retired in 1983 from New England Power Service Company as Chief Power Billing Analyst. Felix was a Past Commander of South Works Post 3657(Massachusetts) of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a charter member of the Auburn, Massachusetts BPOE and was a member of the Lithuanian Naturalization Social Club. Felix enjoyed participating and watching sports, polka dancing and anything to do with the New York Yankees. Services for Felix will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Worcester with a funeral Mass at 11:00 am in St. Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln St., Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. A period of calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 20th from 9-10:30 am in the funeral home prior to departure for his funeral mass.
