Mary Asadoorian, 76, a former Worcester business owner passed away peacefully, Friday, March 16th 2018. Born in Portland Maine, Mary was the daughter of Krikor and Azniv (Fashjian) Asadoorian. Raised in Worcester, Mary graduated from Commerce High School, worked many years for Nelson and O’Connell Title Company and Army Title Company before owning and operating Mass.Title & Abstract Company until her retirement in 2012. Mary is survived by numerous friends, a niece Theresa Shapazian, nephew John Shapazian, grand niece, grand nephew and several cousins. Mary was predeceased by her sister Susan Shapazian. She was a longtime active member and choir member of the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church. Mary was also a member of the Worcester County Bar Association. In 1993, she was named Life Member of the Worcester County Bar Foundation.. Other Bar Association awards includes the President’s Award and Worcester County Bar Association Liberty Bell Award. In 2003, Mary was the proud recipient of the Distinguished Layperson Award from the St. Thomas Moore Society of Worcester County. Mary’s caretakers and close friends would like to thank the loving staff of the Hermitage Health Care and Beacon Hospice for the care, compassion and comfort they provided to Mary. Mary’s funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 21st at 11:00 am in the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, 635 Grove Street Worcester. Burial next to her parents will follow in Hope Cemetery. A period of calling hours will be held from 10-11 am Wednesday at the church prior to the service.
