Mauricette “Paulette” (Briom) Joseph, 87 of Worcester passed away peacefully with family gathered at her side Thursday, March 8, 2018 after a period of declining health.Mauricette was born in Dieppe, France, the only child of Maurice and Evenence Briom. Raised in France, she immigrated to the United States by herself and became a United States Citizen in 1958. She has lived here ever since. Paulette is survived by her daughter, Chantale Centeno and her husband Manuel of Worcester; her son, Mark Rosario and his fiancé Isabel Rivera; her daughter in law, Toni Berry; five grandchildren, Michael, Krystle, Anthony, Manuel Jr., and Melissa; five great grandchildren, Damien, Xirollay’s ,Destiny, Kaydin, and Jaylisse; Many extended family members and friends. Paulette was a member of St Peters Church. She enjoyed Camping, playing cards and crochet. She also had a fondness for elephants and collected figurines. Dubbed “The Boss” by her family, she cherished the moments she could be with them. Holidays, special occasions and family dinners were always enjoyable and her proudest moments. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Wednesday, March 14th 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Thursday, March 15th from the funeral departing at 9:30 am to St Peters Church, 929 Main St. where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
