Grafton – Elayne (Fulton) Griff, age 70, passed away Tuesday the 6th of March at the Rose Monahan Hospice residence. Born and raised in Worcester, Elayne was the daughter of Charles R. and Doris (Hanson) Fulton. She lived many years in Paxton where she raised her children before moving to Grafton in 2002. Elayne worked in customer service most of her life. She was a customer service representative for New England telephone and then worked in the real estate industry for Hunnemann & Company/Coldwell Banker in Shrewsbury. She retired as a senior customer service supervisor at Eversource in Westwood, MA. Elayne is survived by her three children, Alysa R. Griff of Kissimmee, Florida, David J. Griff of Worcester and Peter C, Griff of Breckenridge, Colorado, her granddaughter, Emily Griff, a sister Judith McQuiston and her husband Walter and a nephew Robert Monk and his wife Carrie. Elayne was an accomplished athlete, who loved playing tennis, anytime and anywhere. Notably she earned top women’s tennis accolades for her play in Massachusetts. Elayne also enjoyed going to the Grafton Senior Center and watching TV. Her greatest joy was her children and she was extremely proud of all they accomplished in life. Elayne also treasured the moments she could be with her children and grandchild Emily. They were her pride and joy. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 14th at 11AM at Hadwen Park Congregational Church, 6 Clover Street, Worcester. Burial will be private. Memorial remembrances can be made to The Rose Monahan Hospice residence in care of VNA Hospice, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester.
