Catherine L. (Camerota) DiTullio, 89 of Worcester passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 6th 2018, after a period of declining health. Catherine was born in Worcester, one of four children of Italian Immigrants, Anthony and Lucy (Silvestris) Camerota. Raised and educated in Worcester, Catherine married John DiTullio in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church in 1950 and settled in a home off Shrewsbury Street where they have lived ever since. Catherine worked as a stitcher for Trippi’s before accepting a position for the University of Massachusetts Food service department. She was promoted as head baker and worked more than 17 years before retiring in 1992. Catherine is survived by her husband of 68 years, John A. DiTullio; her two children and their spouses John J. DiTullio and his wife Pamela of Florida, Darlene Gleason and her husband Paul of Worcester; four grandchildren; Nicole and Nicholas Gleason, Jayde and Jesse DiTullio; other extended family members, nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to attend calling hours Sunday, March 11th 2018 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Monday, March 12th from the funeral home with a procession to Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Road where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am.
