Christopher “Boomer” M. Bosowski, 45, of Worcester, passed away at home on Saturday, March 3, 2018. Chris is survived by a daughter, Madison E. Bosowski of Dudley; his mother and step-father, Donna (Benoit) Simarano and John Simarano of Worcester; his father, Michael Bosowski in Florida; two brothers, Benjamin M. Bosowski of Worcester, and Jonathan P. Bosowski and his fiancé Tracy Gedman of North Oxford; a son, Ryan Edmund Timothy Dowen of Charlton; the love of his life and mother of his daughter, Lorie Kelley of Dudley; two nephews that he adored, Christian Robert Price and Jonny Paul Bosowski; a dear friend, Kathy Cote of Worcester, who stood by his side through the past several years; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Chris had three “best friends” since childhood, two of whom were still a tremendous part of his life, Tom LeCuyer and Robert “Pip” Valerio and they hold on to the memory of Tim Benoit, his uncle and best friend, who predeceased Chris. Christopher was born in Worcester and was educated in the Worcester public school system. He lived most of his life in Worcester, with the exception of a short period where he resided in Florida, before returning here. Chris was a warm hearted, caring person who went out of his way to make sure that others were having a good day. His caring nature led him in a career path as a counselor at Catholic Charities and at a school for troubled teens, Project Grow. Chris was adored by his daughter and loved to be with family and friends. Never one to just sit and be quiet, he was the person that made the party. He enjoyed fishing, the Boston Bruins, and watching most any other Boston sporting event. He will be remembered for his big heart, his kindness, and his warm smile. Calling Hours for Christopher will be on Friday, March 9, from 4 pm to 7 pm in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. His Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, March 10, at 10 am in Saint Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street, Worcester. Interment beside his grandparents and best friend will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Saint John’s Food for The Poor, 44 Temple Street, Worcester, MA 01604.
