Deanna M. (Zelenak) Duffy, 48 of Worcester formerly of Millbury, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018 at UMass Medical Center with her family by her side. Deanna was born in Worcester, the daughter of Eileen Zelenak and the late William J. Zelenak, Sr. She grew up in Millbury where she graduated from Millbury High School in 1987. Deanna worked in the medical billing field for several years before becoming ill. Deanna was a loving, caring, and devoted mother, who was very strong and had a huge heart. Deanna was a selfless person who always put others first. She loved helping others, especially her family. Deanna is survived by her husband of ten years, Barry J. Duffy; her two daughters, Alyssa M. Duffy and Amanda V. Duffy both of Worcester; her mother, Eileen M. (Hurley) Zelenak of Millbury; two brothers, William J. Zelenak, Jr. and his wife Christine of Sturbridge and Justin Zelenak and his wife Cassie of Glastonbury, CT; her sister, Terry DiPillo and her husband Robert of Worcester; her paternal grandmother, Delores Zelenak of Millbury; two aunts, Elaine Troila and her husband Lou of Worcester and Cynthia Agbey of Grafton; two uncles, Mark Zelenak of Millbury and Ernie Bishop of Shrewsbury; her father-in-law, Jack Duffy and his companion Sandy LeBlanc; her brother-in-law, Mark Duffy and his wife Susan all of Leominster; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, John & Gladys Clapp; her paternal grandfather, John Zelenak, Sr.; an aunt, Cathy Bishop; an uncle, John Zelenak, Jr. and her mother-in-law, Virginia Duffy.Services for Deanna will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 am in St. Brigid’s Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Deanna’s family on Tuesday, March 6th from 4-8 pm in the funeral home.
