Jeanne A. (Herbeck), Parretti 89, formerly of Worcester, died peacefully in her sleep on February 17, 2018, after a brief period of failing health and anxious to join her late husband of 63 years, Maj. Lawrence Parretti (USMC) in God’s magnificent paradise. Jeanne was born on January 21, 1929. in New Kensington, PA. a daughter of Steven and Ida Herbeck. She went to high school at Tarentum High School and graduated in 1946. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry, her parents, Stephan and Ida; two brothers Charles and Richard and two sisters Virginia and Elizabeth. Jeanne enjoyed dances, parties, reading and spending time with her family. Jeanne memories will live on with her two sons, Nick Parretti and his wife Nancy (Allen) of Willistown, PA, and Mark Parretti and his wife Vera of Linden, VA., a grandson Christopher Parretti of Cordova, TN; her faithful cat Tigger and pet rabbit Moo: many much-loved nieces and nephews, relatives, in-laws, and friends. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, pictures and support in many heart-felt forms from too many people to name individually – all of you will be in our thoughts and prayers. Jeanne’s wishes for all of us - smile because she has lived, be full of the love that she shared, cherish her memory and let it live on and smile, open your eyes, love and cherish all that she has left. A period of calling hours will be held Saturday, February 24th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., followed by a prayer service at 1:00 pm Burial will be held at a later date next to her husband in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
