Cesidio “Al” Cappoli, 93, of Worcester, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Saint Francis Home in the presence of his loving family. Al is survived by his loving wife, Irene (Getek) Cappoli; son, Albert Cappoli of Auburn; a sister Antoinette Carnevale of Auburn; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Dr. Diane Cappoli; and two brothers, George and Salvatore Cappoli. Al was born in Worcester, son of the late Domenico and Maria (Santoro) Cappoli, and has lived here all his life. Al served his nation proudly in the United States Army, as a Medic during World War II, and was stationed in Germany. He graduated college and went to work as a draftsman for many years with Morgan Construction in Worcester. He enjoyed fishing on the Cape, both fresh and salt water, as well as working on and around his home in Centerville. Most importantly he cherished spending time and relaxing at home and at Craigsville Beach with his wife, Irene. He will be sorely missed and thought of often, by his family and dear friends. Al’s family would like to thank the Veteran’s Administration and Brookside Hospice, with special recognition to nurses Mary Ellen and Michelle, for their help in caring for Al at his home.
