Mary M. (Melisi) Pannese, 66, of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 19th in her home after being stricken ill. Mary will forever be remembered by her son, Michael S. Hagopian of Southborough; daughter Tara H. Zane of Marlton, N.J.; three granddaughters, Britni D. Parker and her husband William of Sammamish, WA; Catherine and Abigail Zane of Marlton, N.J.; grandson, Michael S. Hagopian of Shrewsbury; daughter-in-law, Anna Hagopian of Shrewsbury; brothers Christopher T. Melisi of Hopkinton and Joseph Melisi and his wife Amy of Northborough; sister Theresa M. Melisi of Hopkinton; niece Chelsea R. Resnick of New York City, N.Y.; three nephews Joseph, Jonathan, and Jacob Melisi of Northborough; many cousins, extended family, and friends. Mary is predeceased by her loving and devoted husband of twelve years, Robert P. Pannese. Mary was born in Chelsea, MA on May 11, 1951 to the late Joseph F. and Catherine M. (Packowski) Melisi. She graduated from Holliston High School, Class of 1969. Mary had many occupations throughout her life. She had worked at Fenwal in Ashland for many years as well as a nurse’s aide for some time. More recently, Mary worked as a homemaker. She was a devout Christian and enjoyed attending Sunday services. Mary frequently expressed her love for all living things and respected their place in this world. She frequently donated to the Humane Society and other charitable foundations. She especially loved her many cats. Mary enjoyed shopping, dining, gardening, birdwatching, the beach, keeping up with social media and the entertainment spotlight, listening to music, and spending time with her family and friends. She was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren and they will miss her dearly. A small, private celebration of life will be held for Mary at a future date and time.
