John C. Dufresne, 57, of Worcester, passed away in the peacefulness of his home on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. John is survived by his daughter, Nicole R. Dufresne; his mother, Eleanor R. (Litvaitis) Dufresne, both of Worcester; three brothers, Daniel Dufresne and his wife Susan of Auburn, Paul A. Dufresne of Leicester, and Thomas E. Dufresne and his wife Lynne of Worcester; two sisters, Deborah A. Dufresne of Greenville, NC, and Donna M Beaupré and her husband Edward of Springhill, FL; many nieces and nephews. John was born in Worcester, son of the late, Albert C. Durfresne, and has lived here all his life. He graduated from Worcester Boy’s Trade High School and worked as an electrician with the IBEW, local 96 for many years. He was also a member of the stage hands union and worked for at the DCU Center. He was a Third Degree member of the Alhambra Council Knights of Columbus and the 525 bowling league. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and cooking. He was inventive and skillful, and would tackle any project. He had a wonderful relationship with his daughter and shared his love of nature, sci-fi, and space with her. He often shared his dream of retiring to Belize Calling Hours at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, will be on Sunday, January 21, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service.
