Anthony F. Tritone, 73, of Princeton passed away peacefully Tuesday January 16,2018 at Sterling Village after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He was born in Worcester on July 25,1944 the son of the late James and Carmella (DiPinto) Tritone. He grew up on Shrewsbury Street in Worcester and then settled in the town of Princeton after he married the love of his life Ann Toloczko. Tony was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Worcester Junior College, and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier for 34 years before retiring several years ago. Tony served his nation proudly in the United States Navy as an Aviation Mechanic aboard the U.S.S. Independence (CV-62) aircraft carrier. Tony was an avid fly fisherman and enjoyed tending to his vegetable and flower gardens each year. He was a loyal New England sports fan especially the Boston Red Sox and Patriots. Tony enjoyed attending all of his children’s events whether it was his son’s baseball games or daughters dance recitals. He was always so proud of them and what they accomplished in their lives. Tony was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Tony leaves behind the family that meant everything to him. His beloved wife Ann, daughter Juliana and husband Matthew Smigielski and their children Miranda and Adam, daughter Elena and husband Steve O’Connell and son Nicholas and wife Dana and his children Matthew, Caitlin and Rebecca. He was the brother of James Tritone and Caroline Mesale. Tony will be remembered as a kind and gentle man who had a smile that could brighten anyones day. On angels wings you were taken but in our hearts you’ll stay, in God’s light you will find joy, til we meet again someday. Calling hours for Tony will be held on Sunday January 21, 2018 from 3PM to 6PM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. Worcester. His funeral will be held on Monday January 22, 2018 departing from the funeral home at 9:30 to Our Lady of Rosary Church 25 Fales St. where his Mass will be celebrated at 10:00AM.
