Karen D. Pusateri, 50 of S. Barre passed away unexpectedly in her sleep, Saturday, January 6th 2018. Karen, born on July 13, 1967 and raised in Sterling the daughter of Joseph V. and Jean C. (Brouillard) Pusateri, she graduated from Wachusett Regional High School class of 1986. Karen then lived in Sterling, Worcester, Gardner and South Barre. Karen worked for various companies before becoming and finding great joy being a homemaker raising and caring for her children, among those were as teacher for a short time and loved teaching kids as she did hers. Karen is survived by her four children Mark J Whitney of Fitchburg, Matthew W. Whitney in Virginia, Joseph Pusateri and Dylon Kane both of S. Barre; her parents, Joseph V. and Jean C. (Brouillard) Pusateri of Sterling; a brother, Joseph J. Pusateri and his wife Constance of Fitchburg; partner and fiancée, Brian Kane; a grandson, Caleb; one niece Nichole Bennett; great nephews; many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. Karen loved teaching her children arts, crafts and painting. She was very personable, loved talking with people. She cherished her role as a mother and found her life’s joy caring for her kids. She will be greatly missed. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Saturday, January 13th from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St followed by her funeral service at 12 noon.
