(Jurgiel) Giorgio. Francis is survived by his loving family, a son, Christopher F. Giorgio and his wife Kim of Auburn; three daughters, Sharron F. Giorgio and her husband Ron Pong of Holden, Cheryl A. Borbone and her husband Michael of Merida, Mexico, and Frances “Cindy” Reed and her husband William of Marietta, SC; five grandchildren, Chad and his wife Samantha, Billy, Paul, Nicholas, and Mia; a great granddaughter, Adia; his beloved dog Vicky; several nieces and nephews, and his former wife, Beverly A. (DeFalco) Dufresne of Ogunquit. He was predeceased by his best friend and golf mate, his brother, William Giorgio. Born in Worcester, son of the late Vito P. and Jenny (Ceffalo) Giorgio, he graduated from Commerce High School, and had lived here most of his life. Francis earned a degree in Industrial Engineering from Worcester Junior College and later studied at the Portia Law School, now the New England School of Law. During the Korean Conflict, Francis served, with pride and dignity, in the United States Army, and was stationed in Korea. Upon his return to the States, he worked as a salesman for several different companies in the area, selling industrial and food service and beverage supplies. In his retirement, he worked as a courier for Shields MRI, where he loved his job, and looked forward to interacting with his great coworkers daily. He retired from Shield’s just eight months ago. Francis enjoyed many things in life, particularly playing golf, traveling to “the islands”, and betting on the dogs and horses, even though he’d often get “shut out” at the window because he took too long to settle in on his choice. He most enjoyed his family, and was a father figure to many of his children’s friends, he took great pride in all of their accomplishments and will be remembered with love. Funeral Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave, Norwood, MA 02062 or to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
