Guerino “Bill” Fraioli, 97, of Worcester, formerly a long-time resident of Paxton, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017, in the comfort of his home. His beloved wife, Ida M. (Battista) Fraioli, and his brothers, Albert Fraioli and Anthony Fraioli, predeceased him. Bill is survived by his sister, Mary I. Belliveau, with whom he had been living; a brother-in-law, Albert Battista of Charlton; and many cherished nieces and nephews, including his primary caregiver, Linda Curran and her son Joseph Curran, who thought of Bill as a grandfather and named his son John Guerino Curran in his honor. Bill was born in Rocca d’Arce, Italy, son of the late Giovanni and Maria Fraioli, moved to the United States at the age of seven, and was proud to have become a U.S. Citizen. He graduated from Commerce High School and later served his new nation proudly in the United States Army during World War II, achieving the rank of Sergeant. Bill worked for many years at Quabaug Rubber Company, retiring as the Plant Manager. He loved simple things in life, especially time spent with his wife, Ida and other members of their family. He was trained as a barber and loved to cut hair for his nieces and nephews, as a way of staying connected in their lives. He enjoyed travelling, watching the ever-changing stock market, playing card games, and studying natural and holistic remedies, which he credited for his longevity. Bill will be remembered for his patience, willingness to listen, and gentle kindness that he demonstrated to all. The family would like to thank Drs. Robert Honig and Deepti Kumar, for the wonderful care they showed Bill over the years.
