Bernard J. Keiser, 94, of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at The Lutheran Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna (Marotta) Battista-Keiser in 2012 and by his first wife, Beatrice M. (Kastner) Keiser in 1989.Bernard is survived by his son, Gregory P. Keiser and his wife Brenda of Medway; two grandchildren, Derek and Danielle Keiser; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Joan E. Keiser, as well as a brother, Xavier and a sister, Rosemarie Cahill. He was born Shenandoah, Pennsylvania son of the late, Joseph A. and Johana (Schlack) Keiser. He served in both the United States Navy Sea Bees, in the Pacific Theatre, during World War II, and in the United States Army, in Germany, during the Korean Conflict. Bernard worked as a freight claims officer for many years with Zayre Corporation and T.J. Maxx, having previously worked with U.S. Trucking Company. He was a member of the Natick Lodge of Elks, the Knights of Columbus, and was active with the Boy Scouts and Explorers. Bernard enjoyed bus trips with his wife Anna, as they visited many destinations throughout the Northeast. He also was a talented carpenter, using his skills to fix and finish many projects. Services will be held privately.
