Charles P. “Pete” Gerardi Jr. of Worcester died peacefully but unexpectedly on Friday December 29, 2017 at home. Pete is survived by his devoted wife of over 60 years Hazel O. (Morris) Gerardi. He also leaves his loving children, Joseph “Big Joe” Gerardi and his wife Debbie of Worcester, Gina M Gerardi-Allain of Charlton, Peter C. Gerardi and Lisa A. Holm and her husband Eric all of Worcester. Pete was the proud grandfather to, Joseph, Brett, Ryan, Jaron, Alisha, Peter and Christina. He loved being the great grandfather to Alexis, Jordan, Landon, Jacob, Jackson, Jessica, Jaydin, Jayce, Cara, Tyler, and Zachary. He also leaves many nephews and nieces. Pete was predeceased by his only sister Beverly Kasprzak in May of this year. Pete was born in Worcester son of the late Charles P Gerardi Jr. and Francs Gentile Gerardi and lived here all his life. He was a graduate of Commerce High School. Pete worked for the Henry Camosse Company as a Forklift operator for many years. Pete attended Our Lady of Loreto Church, and was a member of the Brown Square Civic Club and the Independent Order of Eagles.He was also a long time member of the Local Teamsters Union. He enjoyed vacationing and Camping at the Yankee Land Camp in Maine and loved going to Florida. He was a very social person with a vibrant personality and will be missed by his morning Coffee club at McDonalds and Paesani’s. However his most treasured times where when he was with his family. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Our lives will never be the same without him! Pete’s funeral will be held on Tuesday January 9 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10AM in the Church of Our Lady of Loreto 33 Massasoit Rd. Calling hours will be held on Monday January 8 from 4PM to 7PM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL. Interment will be private. In lieu of Flowers contributions may be made to the St Jude Children’s Hospital or a charity of your choice.
