Mary J. (Sargent) Lyons, 86, of Boylston, passed away on December 24, 2017, in the peacefulness of her home. Her husband of sixty-two years, Louis P. Lyons, Jr., predeceased her in March 2014. Mary is survived by her loving children, two sons, Philip L. Lyons and his wife Kathy of Brentwood, NH, and Michael A. Lyons and Pam Kennedy-Lyons of Shrewsbury; two daughters, Marcia Bollus and her husband Joseph of Harwich, and Karen Donoghue and her husband Robert of Boylston; a sister, Lorraine Bryce wife of the late John Bryce of Greenfield; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several siblings, Barbara Lavelle and her husband Peter, Ralph Sargent, Jr., James Sargent and his wife Carol, and Robert Sargent. She was born in Clinton, MA, daughter of the late Ralph and Annie (Tierney) Sargent. Mary dedicated her life to raising her family and caring for the wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren, that she was privileged to be gifted with. Her grandchildren were a source of great love and joy for Mary. Calling Hours will be on Tuesday morning, January 2, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. until her Funeral Service commences at 11 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street. Following the service a procession will depart for Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester, for final interment services.
