Vitaly John “Johnny” Alexandrov, 59 of Portsmouth, RI, formerly of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital after a brief illness. John was born in Worcester, the son of the late Mary (Mastrototaro) Alexandrov. He was a graduate of Doherty High School where he excelled in football and track. John received a football scholarship from Trinity College, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree. He later earned his juris doctorate from New England School of Law. John was the founder and owner of REIC, and was also a lawyer and business coach for over 30 years. He had many accomplishments in life including being a published author of numerous books. John was an avid golfer and was a member of the Carnegie Abbey Golf Club in Portsmouth RI. He enjoyed being by the ocean, watching the New England Patriots, and going to his nieces and nephews sports games. John loved to cook Italian food, sometimes more eating than cooking. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. John is survived by his son, Jarred Alexandrov and his wife Keri Hannagan of Brookline; his daughter, Danielle Alexandrov of Falmouth; his loving companion, Michelle Aumann and her children, Ryley and Madison Aumann with whom he lived; his sister, Maria Gazaille of Worcester; two grandchildren, Lucas and Braeden Alexandrov; his nieces and nephew, Kayla, James, Jacqueline and Lauren Lapierre and Taylor Gazaille. Services for John will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with his funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 am at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St., Worcester. Burial next to his mother will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass and to visit with his family on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 4-7 pm in the funeral home.
