June M. (Thomas) Quitadamo, 84, of Worcester, passed away, with loving family at her bedside, on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at Care One in Millbury. She was predeceased by her loving husband of nearly thirty-nine years, Joseph E. Quitadamo. June is survived by three sons, Joseph E. Quitadamo, Jr. and his wife Lynn of Worcester, Robert M. Quitadamo and his wife Lisa of Oxford, and Gary J. Quitadamo and his wife Patricia of Rochdale; three daughters, Karen M. Haddad of Worcester, Debra A. D’Agostino and her husband Anthony of Leicester, and Gina M. Boucher and her husband Curtis of Northborough; thirteen grandchildren, Eric, Emily, Joseph, Briana, and Marc Quitadamo, Alexandrea LaMountain, William “Billy-Joe” and Samuel Haddad, Angela and Domenic D’Agostino, Gianna, Ian, and Ryan Boucher; five great grandchildren; a life-long friend, Jane Travis of Virginia, who was more like a sister; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Vernelle Cibelli. June was born in Marlborough, daughter of the late, Joseph and Gabriella “Blanche” (Coppola) Thomas. She grew up in Marlborough and graduated from Saint Anne’s Academy. She moved to Worcester in 1955 as a new bride, later moving in 1957 to the house she and her family would call home to this day. June retired as a Retail Manager from Ames Stores in 1992, after twenty years in the retail environment, beginning with the Ames predecessor, Zayre Department Stores on Grafton Street in Worcester. June loved to be with her family and enjoyed “stamping up” and “The Wonder of It All”. She will be missed by her family and remembered as a wonderful and loving person. Calling Hours for June will be held Tuesday November 28, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral will be on Wednesday, November 29, departing the funeral home in procession at 10:40 a.m. for an 11 a.m. Funeral Mass at Saint Stephen’s Church, 357 Grafton Street, Worcester. Entombment will follow at Notre Dame Mausoleum, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Building Fund at Saint Stephen’s Church, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
