Lena M. Rhodenizer, 28 of Charlton, MA and formerly of Shrewsbury unexpectedly yet peacefully passed away in her home Saturday morning November 4, 2017. Lena was blessed with a daughter, Ayla Maria Ducharme; her loving partner of 7 years, Joshua Ducharme; her mother Donna Liberty Duquette of Shrewsbury; her sister, Racquel Rhodenizer of Shrewsbury; her uncle, Arthur R. Duquette, Jr. of East Orleans; an aunt, Kathy and Mike Mullen of Millbury; first cousins Deborah, Katie and John and many more amazing cousins and friends. Lena was born in Shrewsbury, daughter of Donna Liberty Duquette and has lived in Shrewsbury most of her life until recently moving to Charlton with Joshua and Ayla. Lena attended Shrewsbury High School and graduated in 2007. During her high school years, Lena enjoyed cheerleading and gymnastics. Lena continued her education by attending Quinsigamond Community College, where she met her partner, Joshua. Lena was fun loving, kind-hearted and she was the life of the party, always having a good time. She loved her daughter with all her heart; she was the light of her world. Lena always will be remembered for her contagious smile, laughter and wonderful personality. She always made the people around her feel important and her compassion and understanding were immeasurable. Lena enjoyed the beach and spending as much time as she could outdoors. She was the greatest mother any child could ask for; her legacy will live on through her daughter. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Thursday, November 9th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be celebrated Friday, November 10th from the funeral home with a procession to St. Anne’s Church, 130 Boston Turnpike Road for a 11:00 am Funeral Mass.
