JoAnne (Lannon) Forson, 62 of Worcester, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017 at UMass Memorial Medical Center. JoAnne was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, a daughter of the late John J. Lannon, Jr. She grew up in Grafton and was a graduate of Holy Name Central Catholic High School. JoAnne was the director of Special Projects for Arcadia Healthcare and she previously was the Regional Vice President for CRC and Habit OP-CO, as well as spent many years at Spectrum Health Systems. JoAnne took absolute pride in the work she did and dedicated her entire career to helping individuals who suffered from addiction. She was a member of the former Liberty Church in Worcester. JoAnne will forever be remembered for her infectious laugh and her selfless nature, but most importantly her world revolved around her daughter and grandchildren. JoAnne is survived by her daughter, Aly Whalen of Worcester; her mother, Irene A. (Paquin) Lannon of Westerly, RI; her son-in-law, David Whalen of Worcester; two brothers, John J. Lannon, III and his wife Carol of Sandwich and Kevin Lannon and his wife Heather of Menomonie, WS; her three beloved grandchildren, Madison and David “Ty” Whalen and Cayden Hankerson all of Worcester; two nephews, Ryan Lannon of Worcester and Kyle Lannon of MI; two nieces, Sarah Koger and her husband Jason of Wisconsin and Jennifer Lannon of Mashpee; great niece and nephew, Maya and Rhett Koger both of Wisconsin. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with JoAnne’s family on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 4-7 pm with her funeral service to begin at 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will be held privately.
