Mary Ann Hagerty, 60, of Worcester died peacefully on Saturday October 28, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. Mary Ann is survived by four sisters, Alice Murphy of North Oxford, Dorothy Capp of Windsor Locks CT, Elizabeth Berube of Worcester, and Marie Hagerty of Southbridge. Mary Ann also leaves her Brothers, Maurice Hagerty and his wife Rose, of Dudley, William Hagerty and his wife Carol of Worcester, and Vincent Hagerty and his wife Maria of Hubbardston, and many nieces and nephews. Mary Ann was born in Worcester daughter of the late William and Mary Margaret (Fitzgerald) Hagerty and has lived here all her life. She was a graduate of North High School. Mary Ann worked for the Presmet Manufacturing Company for many years before she retired. She was a home body that loved being around her family, especially her many nieces and nephews. Mary Ann was a lover of all animals especially dogs. Thanks to her kindness and affection for them she rescued many dogs and took them under her care. Calling hours for Mary Ann will be held on Wednesday November 1, 2017 from 4PM to 7PM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. a prayer service will be held at 7PM.
