Dennis J. Lucier, 53, of Worcester, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Saint Francis Home. Dennis is survived by his children, Elizabeth Verone and her husband Alan of Pennsylvania, Leah Langlois and her husband Timothy of Warren, and Mindy Parrish and her husband Jeremy of Florida; his mother, Nancy (Burbo) Burke of Worcester; a brother, David P. Lucier and his wife Robyn of North Brookfield; three sisters, Cheryl A. Burke and her husband David of Worcester, April J. Lucier and her companion Benjamin Boi of Marlborough, and Rachel B. Fleck and her husband Barry of Webster; nine grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. Dennis was predeceased by his father, Donald F. Lucier, Sr., by his brother, Donald F. Lucier, Jr. and by his step-father, Norman E. “Blackie” Burke. Dennis was born in Worcester and has lived here all his life. He enjoyed working as a handyman doing a variety of odd jobs. The Lucier Family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to the wonderful people at Saint Francis Home and Notre Dame Hospice; their compassionate care for Dennis and his family is appreciated and helped make his final days peaceful. Calling Hours for Dennis will be held on Monday, October 30, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. His Funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 31, departing the funeral home in procession at 9:40 a.m., for a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at Saint John’s Church, 40 Temple Street, Worcester.
