Courtney E. (Galvin) Baldino, 33, of Worcester, a loving wife, mother, and daughter passed away peacefully with her family gathered by her side on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 after a long illness. Courtney was born in Worcester, the daughter of John E. and Beverly R. (Richardson) Galvin and was raised in Auburn. Growing up her passions were youth soccer and dancing where she competed and received many awards. Courtney attended Auburn schools, graduating from Auburn High School in 2002 and was a member of the National Honor Society. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Neuroscience with honors from Ithaca College and was a member of the Ithaca College Dance Team. She earned her master’s degree as an Education Specialist in School Psychology from Worcester State University. She began her career as a school psychologist with the Westborough School Department later moving to the Northborough School Department before retiring due to her illness in 2014. In 2011, Courtney married her soulmate and love, David F. Baldino and began their family with love and devotion. Courtney is survived by her husband of the past 6 years, David, her two sons she dedicated her love to, Nicholas A. and Michael D. Baldino, her parents, John E. and Beverly R. (Richardson) Galvin of Auburn; brothers, Brian Galvin and his wife Cristina, and Patrick Galvin all of Auburn, David’s parents, Francis and Marianne (Parslow) Baldino, sister in law Melissa Rotondo and her husband Brian of Marlboro, her nephew, two nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her aunt Judith Galvin Johnson in 1989, paternal grandfather Ernest Storey in 2000, brother in law Anthony Baldino in 2002, maternal grandmother Rita Richardson in 2003, paternal grandmother Madelyn Storey in 2006 and her uncle James Galvin in 2011. A devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister, Courtney’s life centered on her sons. Nothing came before their well-being. She cherished being a wife and mother and enjoyed every minute of her life with her family. Courtney faced many challenges which she took head on. Her passing leaves a hole in our hearts but her loving and caring soul will not be forgotten. Courtney loved to dance, cook, and summer vacations on the beach at the cape especially Martha’s Vineyard. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Sunday, October 29th from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 30th at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Angel’s Church 1222 Main St. Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial remembrances be made to the Nicholas & Michael Baldino benefit fund, care of the Worcester Fire Department Credit union, 34 Glennie St, Worcester, MA 01605
