Arthur Valworth Hawley, III, 70 of Keene, NH formerly of Worcester passed away on October 5, 2017 in Westwood Nursing Home in Keene, NH. “Val” as he was known to family, was born in Worcester a beloved son of Arthur Valworth Hawley, Jr., Channie Belle (Fitzgerald) Hawley and his step-mother, Barbara R. Hawley who predeceased him and embraced him in his passage. He was a Graduate of Commerce High and immediately following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper. He had tours in Germany and Korea and eventually extended temporary duty at Fort Bragg, NC. Professionally, he spent his life as a long-distance truck driver, residing in New Hampshire. He was an avid reader and loved music, especially Jazz. He married and had four children: three sons, Joaquin Hawley of Idaho, Kobie Hawley of Washington, and Kamal Hawley of California; a daughter Fatima Hawley who predeceased him; 13 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. He was also the loving brother to four sisters, Candice Hawley of San Mateo, CA, Andrea Hawley of Worcester, Patti I. Hawley, who predeceased him and a step-sister, Sharon Brown of Rhode Island; many nieces and nephews. Services for Val will be held privately.
