Lillian K. (Smith) Wood, 56, of Clinton, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Wednesday, September 27th, 2017, with her husband near to her. Lillian is survived by her husband of thirty-four years, Richard F. Wood; their daughter, best friend and love of Lillian’s life, Jessica A.D. Wood of Clinton and her fiancé, Travis Perron of West Boylston; her precious and beloved pups, Spooky and Zippy, who were always near. Lillian is also survived by six brothers and five sisters, Michael Bosowski in Florida, Joseph Bosowski in Vermont, James Smith and Jonathan Smith, both of Worcester, Howard Smith of Hawaii, Dorothy Glendenning in Colorado, Nancy Picard of Sterling, Susan St. Francis of Worcester, Marlene Carlson of Shrewsbury, and Roberta McNamara of Clinton, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and a sister, Ronald Smith, Robert Smith and Barbara Kacavich. Lillian was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Howard E. and Anne J. (Volk) Smith. She graduated from West Boylston High School and attended Worcester State College earning an Associates Degree. She and Richard lived in Sutton when they were first married, relocating to West Boylston residing in her parents home to care for her ailing father for several years until his passing, later moving their family to Nebraska for several years, before returning to Massachusetts and settling in Clinton in 2005. She made daily trips to assist her family in caring for her mother until her passing on August 23rd, 2011. Lillian loved to be with her family and found every occasion a reason to cook or bake for them; she was a talented baker, known in the family for creating beautiful and delicious birthday cakes and cookies. She enjoyed arts and crafts, treasure hunting at yard sales, and clipping coupons, earning the title “Coupon Queen” from her family. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 14th 2017 at 3:00pm at The First Congregational Church, 26 Central Street, West Boylston.
