Jay M. D’Andrea Sr, of Springfield Missouri formerly of Worcester died unexpectedly September 20, 2017 at home in Springfield. Jay is survived by his son Jay M D’Andrea Jr. of West Boylston, his brother Joseph D’Andrea and his wife Julie, and his sister Cheryl D’Andrea all of Worcester. Jay was also the proud uncle to Brian, Matthew, and James D’Andrea and Kathleen Delude. He was predeceased by a Brother James M. D’Andrea. Jay was born in Worcester son of the late Joseph and Barbara (Sweeny) D’Andrea and lived in Worcester many years before moving to Springfield several years ago. He attended South High School, and also Hyannis High School. He served in the Marine Corps for several years. Jay worked as a Pharmacy Technician for most of his life. He was employed by CVS and also Reliant. While in Worcester he was a member of the Alhambra Council Knights of Columbus, and was a member of the American Legion Post #639 in Springfield Missouri, and was a Legion Rider and Commander of the Missouri District 17. A funeral service for Jay will be held on Friday September 29 at 11:00AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. Calling hours in the funeral home will be from 9:30 to the time of service at 11:00.
