Robert T. Aldorisio

Robert T. Aldorisio, 77 of Northborough, formerly of Braintree, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Tufts Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born in Malden, a son of the late Vincent Alfred and Rose Marie (Tomasi) Aldorisio.  He grew up in Braintree and was a graduate of Braintree High School where he excelled in his studies as well as on the football team.  Robert later received his bachelor’s degree in business from Northeastern University, and was also involved in the college's ROTC program. He enlisted in the United States Army serving his country proudly in the Vietnam War as a 1st Lieutenant. Robert worked in the human resources department for various companies including Digital for 17 years.  He met the love of his life, Irene, in high school, and married her in 1967. They moved to Northborough in 1974 where they had resided for the past 43 years. Robert was a faithful member of St. Rose of Lima Church, the Northborough Lions Club and a past member of the Leominster Chapter.  Robert enjoyed physical fitness especially hand ball and running.  He was a lover of music and dancing, and was very involved in helping with his daughter's dance studio, Laurene Aldorisio's Academy of Dance Expressions in Westborough.  Robert enjoyed times spent on the shores of Cape Cod with family and friends, but most of all his greatest passion was his family and spending all of his time with them.  His family will remember that Robert “loved life, and lived it to the fullest.” Robert is survived by the love of his life for the past 50 years, Irene E. (Kennedy) Aldorisio; his two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Aldorisio-Leandres and her husband Bert of Jefferson and Laurene Lee Aldorisio-Terra and her husband Jose of Northbrough; six beloved grandchildren, Karly Rose Terra, Angelina Elizabeth Leandres, Brittany Lee Terra, Dylan Robert Terra, Antonio Gervasio Leandres and Annmarie Kennedy Leandres; his brother, Edward Aldorisio of Chester, NH; five sisters, Lee Harris of Taunton, Maureen Richards of Pembroke, Karen Agganis and her husband Michael of Henderson, NV, Lynda Aldorisio of Natick and Toni Marie Davis of Hopedale; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. Services for Robert will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, 244 West Main St., Northborough.  Burial will follow in Howard Street Cemetery, Northborough.  Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Robert’s family on Wednesday, September 27th from 4-7pm in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Robert can be made to: American Cancer Society, P.O.
