Nicholas J. Carenzo, Sr., 74 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at home with his family by his side. Nicholas was born in Wortcester, a son to the late Anthony V. Carenzo Sr., and Santa (Fiorentino) Carenzo. He attended Commerce High School and has lived in Worcester all is life. Nicholas was an operating engineer of heavy equipment for the Local 4 International Union of Operating Engineers in Boston, MA for over 40 years retiring in 2004. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Brown Square Civic Club, enjoyed playing cards and going to the casino. Nicholas is survived by four sons, Nicholas J. Carenzo, Jr. of Worcester, James A. Carenzo and his wife Darlene of Grafton, Anthony D. and Michael J. Carenzo both of Worcester; two daughters, Susan M. Friedlander of Boston and Christina A. Guittar and her husband James of Holden; a brother, Anthony V. Carenzo, Jr. and his wife Maureen of Worcester; his sister, Rosemary St. Germain and her husband William of Worcester; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother, Vito A. Carenzo. Services for Nicholas will be held privately.
