Isabelle Muniz, 37, of Worcester, a simple, quiet and wonderful person passed away peacefully Thursday, September 7, 2017 with the family she loved gathered at her bedside. Isabelle was born December 15, 1979 in Queens, New York a daughter of Aida F. (Aviles) Muniz and the late Jorge L. Muniz. Raised in Worcester, Isabelle graduated from South High School with High honors. In addition to her mother and best friend, Isabelle is survived by , a sister, Maribel Aviles; a brother, George Muniz; four nephews and two nieces, Johnny, Josey, Hecky, Elysa, Nevaeah and George Muniz, Jr. Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and numerous friends. Her paternal grandparents Chino and Nati Muniz, and maternal grandparents Andres and Fundora Aviles pre deceased her. Isabelle was a beautiful person who cherished her family, loved music, and enjoyed Candlepin bowling where she would always be a high scorer. She was a multi-sport, multi time Special Olympics Gold medalist. She inspired many people with her smile considered “Brighter than the Vegas Strip”. Isabelle’s family was very special to her, she cherished the times she could be with her mother and “Best Friend”, her sister, brothers and nephews and nieces. Nothing was more inspirational than to see Isabelle enter the room. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours, Tuesday, September 12th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be celebrated Wednesday, September 13th from the funeral home with a procession to St. Joan of Arc Church, 500 Lincoln St where Rev. Nelson Rivera will celebrate her Mass at 11:00 am. Burial next to her father will follow in Hope Cemetery.
