Frances L. Flanary, 79, 32 Duxbury Rd. Worcester Ma. (formerly of Uniondale, NY,) entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 17, 2017. She was born in Dryden, VA to Virgie (Pennington) and Kermit Flanary on January 18, 1938, the family later settled in Pennington Gap, VA where she spent the majority of her young adult life. She moved to Hempstead, NY in the late 1950’she worked over 45 years as a private duty personal care assistant. She took on a new role teacher’s aide for the Uniondale public school department in 1999 for 10 years. Frances a “helping spirit” she would help strangers, family and anyone in need. She became the activities director at her housing complex she was a jokester and loved a good laugh. She loved cooking and going to the casino, she was an avid bowler and a member of a bowling team that won many championships. She proceeded in death, by her daughter Ursula J Hough of Kingsport, TN. Her parents Virgie (Pennington) Flanary and Kermit Flanary, six brothers and sisters ,Annie P Conyer, Fern M McMillan and Glen L Flanary of Pennington Gap, Va. Ella M Conyer and Mary J Smith of Worcester, Ma, Michael W Flanary of Narragansett RI, nephew Thomas R McMillan Jr. of Columbus, Oh. She leaves to cherish her memory, Grandson Bryon Hough, Great Grand Daughters , Alani Hough, Keanna Hough and Jada Hough ,Uncle Randolph Pennington, Nieces and nephews Eyvonne White, Denorris Conyer, Virginia McMillan-Rhodes, Andrea Jordan, Linda Simpson, Andrea McMillan, Garland Conyer, Richard Conyer, Laurie Abernathy, Rebecca Williams, Gwendolyn Flanary, Micha Flanary, Michael Flanary and Michelle Leigh, a host of Great Grand Nieces and Nephews.
