Matthew F. Sciannameo

Matthew F. Sciannameo, 44, of Auburn, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family. Matthew is survived by his daughter, Nicole T. Sciannameo of Westborough; his parents, Frank and Donna (Paquette) Sciannameo, with whom he lived; a brother, Zachary Sciannameo of Auburn; a sister, Sarah Hagglund and her husband Nathan, and their two sons, Michael and Benjamin; his maternal grandmother, Connie Paquette of Worcester; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was born in Worcester, and later moved to Auburn.  He graduated from Bay Path Regional High School and attended UMass Amherst. Matthew was a talented carpenter and finish wood worker.  He enjoyed fishing, working with electronics and being with family. The family would like to thank the Memorial Hospital CCU nurses and staff for their wonderful care of Matthew. There are no calling hours.  Funeral Services are being held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a fund for his daughter, The Nicole T. Sciannameo Education Fund in care of Digital Federal Credit Union, 220 Donald Lynch Blvd., P.O. Box 9130, Marlborough, MA 01725. Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, is assisting his family.
