Marie G. Kenney

Marie G. (Mantone) Kenney, 73 of Worcester, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at UMass Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness with her husband, children and grandchildren at her side. Marie was born in Cambridge, MA, a daughter of the late Matteo J. and Ruth (Smith) Mantone and graduated from Arlington High School. She moved to Worcester in 1986 where she has resided for the past 30 years.  Marie worked as a financial analyst in the patient accounts department for UMass Memorial Medical Center for 18 years before she retired in 2005 due to illness. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing mahjong on the computer and watching her shows especially Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Judge Judy. Marie is survived by the “Love of her Life” for the past 52 years, Joseph T. Kenney; her two sons, Keith Kenney of Whitinsille and George Kenney of San Diego, CA; her two daughters, Kristine Kenney of Worcester and Kara McCormack and her husband Terry of Shirley, MA; a step-son, Joseph Kenney of Wareham; two step-daughters, Kathleen Hughes and her husband Gary of Rockland and Coreen Kashe of Avon; her brother, William Mantone and his wife Robin of Beverly; her sister, Jean Soucy of Fort Myers, FL; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, many step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
