Richard E. Brooks of Mashpee a loving and dedicated Husband Father and Grandfather died peacefully on Wednesday July 26, 2017 in the Royal Falmouth Nursing Center. Richard is survived by the love of his life of 58 years Antoinette (Inangelo) Brooks, two sons. Richard E, Brooks Jr. of Wrentham, and Jeffrey P. Brooks and his wife Victoria Ann of Plymouth, and his daughter Marlo J. Brooks of Quincy. Richard also leaves a Brother Kenneth Brooks of Orlando Florida, and two sisters, Catherine Chernisky and her husband Robert of Southbridge, and Deborah Fior and her husband Theodore of Lake Helen Florida. Richard was the proud grandfather to Avery Nicole and Alyssa Morgan Brooks. He also leaves many nieces and nephews, and his loving canine companion Bella. Richard was born in Worcester son of the late Richard H. and Harriet F. (Haire) Brooks and lived in Northborough many years before moving to the Cape. He has lived in Mashpee for the last 25 years. Richard was a truck driver for many years and was a longtime member of the Local Teamsters , #107, and #25. While living in Northborough he and Antoinette where members of the Church of St Rose of Lima Richard was such a family man, he loved camping, boating, and traveling with his family. He loved riding Motorcycles and was most happy when he was near the Ocean. Richard enjoyed many years wintering in West Palm Beach, Florida. He loved living in Mashpee and having his family around him. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. From a daily quote; Life is like the Ocean. Richards funeral will be held on Tuesday August 1, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in the Church of Our Lady of Loreto 33 Massasoit Rd. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday evening from 4PM to7PM in the funeral home. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
