Hugh J. Moran, Jr. 75 of Worcester passed away surrounded by family Tuesday, July 25th 2017. Hugh was born in Worcester, one of two sons of Hugh J. Moran, Sr. and Ethel (Domiano) Moran. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade, served in the Massachusetts Army National guard during the Vietnam War and has lived here all his life. Hugh began his career by founding his own Auto body Company, then accepting a position with General Motors in Framingham where he worked for the next 19 years before retiring from the Westwood Office as a shipper. Hugh is survived by his wife of 36 years, Denyse (Wambach) Moran; a daughter, Tyna M. Moran and her fiancé, Dave Brisebois of Worcester; five sons, Stephen Moran and his wife Kim of Sturbridge, Brian Moran and his wife Jessica of Utah, Joseph Wambach of Fall River, Joshua Moran and his wife Amanda of Southbridge, Jonathan Moran and his fiancée Amanda Powell of Worcester; a brother Robert Moran, Sr. of Sutton; four cherished grandchildren, Julleeanna, Joseph, Sawyer,& Wiley; Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A family man, Hugh's brightest days were when he was with his wife and children; there was not a single thing that came between them and Hugh. The Holidays, special occasions and family dinners when all were together were special times. He loved fishing, cars and car shows, working with his hands and helping others. Hugh would assist anyone who asked or needed help. He also enjoyed watching the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Friday, July 28th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Funeral services and burial will be held privately.
