Ann E. (Iafrato) Umphrey, 81, of Millbury, died on Monday, July 17, 2017, in the comfort of her home. Her husband, Neil Umphrey, predeceased her in 1993. Ann is survived by two grandchildren, Britaney Duddie and her companion Kyle Schnare, with whom Ann lived, and Alexia A Duddie of Webster; a great grand-daughter, Myleigh Murphy; and was expecting two great grandbabies in the near future. She is also survived by her sister, Loretta Bernier of Worcester; as well as nieces and nephews. Her daughter, Denise Duddie, predeceased her in December 2012; she was also predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Ann was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Angelo and Francesca (Cirelli) Iafrato. She graduated from Commerce High School. Ann worked for many years as an administrative assistant for Worcester Academy. She was a member of Saint Brigid Church in Millbury. She loved spending time with her family and looked forward to her weekly visit with her hairdresser, to catch up on the latest happenings. She and Neil enjoyed dancing and bowling. Calling Hours for Ann will be held on Sunday, July 23, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral will be held on Monday, from the funeral home, departing in procession at 10:30 a.m., for an 11 a.m. Funeral Mass at Saint Brigid Church, 59 Main Street, Millbury. Entombment will follow at Notre Dame Mausoleum, Worcester.
