Christopher J. Fontaine, 27 of Brookfield, Ma passed away Wednesday, July 12th 2017 as a result of an opioid overdose. Christopher was born in Worcester, June 2, 1990. Chris graduated from Tantasqua High School class of 2008. He has worked in several positions most recently for the Klem’s Department Store. He’s lived in Brookfield all his life. He is survived by his parents Mark and Joanne (Walsh) Fontaine; his two brothers, Jesse Fontaine and James Fontaine, his fiancée Ashley Hazen and their daughter Abigail. He also leaves several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members in the New England Area. Christopher joins in heaven his maternal grandparents Thomas F. and Elizabeth T. (Donnelly) Walsh and paternal grandparents, Arthur and Florence (DiPasquale) Fontaine. Chris enjoyed many things that brought him happiness. He loved cars, enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together. He loved music and really loved to take time to draw. Spending time with his family, friends and outdoors was very important. Chris was looking forward to the birth of his new niece. He was a happy guy who could see the good in all that was around him. Calling hours for Chris will be held Monday, July 17th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. A prayer service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home.
