Nicholas J Catachio

Nicholas J. Catachio, 95, passed away July 2, 2017 with his family by his side, after a brief period of declining health. His wife of sixty-two years, Anna C. (Caporelli) Catachio predeceased him in 2008.He leaves a daughter Susan Dinino, a son-in-law John Dinino and a son David Catachio, all of Naples, Fl; 3 grandchildren, Gregg Dinino of Maine, Jennifer Gibbons of Florida and Nicholas Catachio; 3 great grandchildren, Ana Dinino, Lance Dinino and Abigayle Gibbons; a brother, Vincent J. Catacchio of Florida and many nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by a daughter, Carol Catachio.Nicholas was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, son of the late Thomas and Antonia (Guerra) Catacchio and had lived in Millbury, Massachusetts until he moved to Naples, Florida in 2013. He worked at Wyman Gordon in Grafton, Massachusetts for many years and served his country proudly in the US Navy during WWII.Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
