Bonnie Lee (Bogosian) Hunt, 66 of Boylston passed away peacefully in her home, Wednesday, June 7, 2017, surrounded by family. Bonnie is survived by her husband and best friend of the past 33 years James Hunt; her three children, Joseph Bounville and his wife Jennifer of Boylston, Meghan McCann and her husband Denis of Cherry Valley , Brendan Hunt and his wife Kelly of Brookfield; nine grandchildren who called her “Nana” that she was so proud of: Aaron and Ryan Bounville, Ailis and Maeve McCann, Charley Rose Hunt, Emily, Gabriel, Scott and Jared Moulton. Bonnie also leaves four brothers, Bruce Bogosian, Brian Bogosian, Barry Bogosian and Brad Bogosian; a beloved sister, Wendy Dugan and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Bonnie was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Armand and Jennie (Zadroga) Bogosian. She grew up and lived her life in Boylston raising her family. Bonnie worked for the Visiting Nurse Association for over 10 years before accepting a position with the State of Massachusetts Department of families (DSS) for another 10 years. Feeling the need to become her own boss Bonnie founded the Old Pot Deli in Boylston doing what she loved most, cooking and feeding people. She then became Food Service Manager for the Boylston Elementary School where she worked until retiring in 2013. She was devoted to her family, and happiest in her kitchen, cooking and teaching her children, grandchildren and relatives to cook. Bonnie and Jim loved to travel together taking several memorable trips to Ireland, the Caribbean, Cruises and New Orleans. Bonnie and Jim also loved camping with her family and a special group of camping friends. She also had a passion for the beach and enjoyed reading. Friends and relatives are invited to a period of calling hours, Monday, June 12th from 9:30 am to 11:00 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Followed by her prayer service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 1349 Holden Street, Worcester.
