Chelestine E. "Chelly" Pignataro

Chelestine E. “Chelly” (Buonomo) Pignataro, 90 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 4, 2017.  She was born on November 7, 1926 in Tamaqua, PA to Elizabeth (Petrone) and James Buonomo.  Her husband of 50 years, Henry C. Pignataro, Sr. died in 2000.  She is predeceased by her brother, Valentino “Val” Buonomo. Chelly was a devoted mother and grandmother.  She will be greatly missed by her children, Joanne Schunder and son-in-law Harry of Ashland, Rosemarie Pignataro, Elizabethanne Simoneau and son-in-law Stephen all of Worcester, Diane Skov and son-in-law Richard of Spencer, Henry Pignataro and daughter-in-law Barbara of Centennial, CO.  She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Julia and Emily Simoneau, Alexander and Jeffrey Skov and Henry Pignataro, III.  Chelestine also leaves her brother, Dr. Anthony Buonomo and his wife Annette of Worcester and a sister Maryanne (Buonomo) Josephson and her husband Robert of West Boylston and several nieces and nephews. Chelestine’s funeral services will be held privately.  MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements. Weinstock of Grove Medical Associates for their kindness, compassion and respect shown to Chelly and her family during her stay. It was greatly appreciated.
