Norma M. (Mancuso) O’Mara, 66 of Worcester, passed away into the arms of Jesus, her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at UMass Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Norma was born in Worcester, one of three children to the late Joseph C. and Stella (Przystas) Mancuso, Sr. She graduated from North High School, Class of 1968 and has resided in Worcester all her life. She married her beloved husband Paul “Cooch” O’Mara in 1972 and they had celebrated 45 years of marriage on May 20th. Norma worked as a teacher’s aide for the Worcester Public School system for 15 years before she retired in 1995. She was a devoted and faithful member of Liberty Church in Shrewsbury where she was very involved in many church groups and organizations. Besides her husband, she is survived by her beloved daughter and best friend, Kelley Elizabeth Tyan and her husband Tony of Millbury; her brother, Joseph C. Mancuso, Jr. and his wife Donna of Shrewsbury; two cherished grandchildren, Taylor and Tony Tyan both of Millbury who she totally adored and thoroughly enjoyed every minute she spent with them during all of our family vacations especially at the Cape; her sister-in-law, Patricia O’Mara of Mashpee; her brother-in-law, Michael O’Mara and his wife Beverly of Worcester; nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members. She is predeceased by her sister, Nancy M. Tully. Norma was a true angel here on Earth and anyone that came into contact with her was truly touched. She radiated compassion, love, and beauty to all who encountered her and that will be her everlasting legacy for all of us to remember her by. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Norma’s family and say there final farewell to her on Monday, May 29, 2017 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon in Liberty Church, 495 Hartford Turnpike, Shrewsbury. Her funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 noon in church. Burial will be held privately.
