Albert J. Panarelli, 66, of Brimfield, former owner operator of The Italian Kitchen on Shrewsbury Street passed away into the arms of Jesus at his family home, Thursday, May 18th 2017. Albert was born in Worcester, March 22, 1951, a son of Gerald J. and Rose C. (Pajka) Panarelli. He graduated from South High School and at the age of 19 in 1970, then joined and later became eventual owner of the family business “The Italian Kitchen” on Shrewsbury Street where he worked, catered, and built a repetition serving wonderful food as a “Selfless Chef” enjoying many years until 1999. During that time he was also co-owner of "Fat Albert's Restaurant and Night Club" in Dudley. He went on to enjoy many years in the food business as well as worked as a mason and construction worker. Albert leaves behind, his loving wife Laurie J. (Sharpe) Panarelli; three sons, Jeffrey Panarelli and his wife Melissa,Nicholas Panarelli all of Worcester and Jesse Mosczynski of Dudley; a daughter Marissa Woodis and her husband Adam of Spencer; five grandchildren, Camilla and Jax Woodis, Matthew and Jonathan Panarelli, and Gianna Panarelli; two stepchildren Christopher Foreman and his wife Jennifer of Southwick, Heidi Roberts and her husband David of McHenry, Illinois; a sister, Beverly Panarelli, a deceased sister Carmella "Dolly" Fitzpatrick; five step grandchildren; Many extended family members and friends. Albert was a member of Quaboag Valley Baptist Church. He absolutely loved gardening and cooking, especially planting and raising tomatoes which he turned into his widely enjoyed marinara sauce. He was kind hearted, enjoyed missionary work for his church where he met, and later married, Laurie. His faith in Jesus and his family were the most important aspects of his life. He had an awesome passion for life and whatever he did, he did whole heartedly. Friends and relatives are invited to gather for calling hours Monday, May 22nd in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. His funeral will be held Tuesday, May 23rd at 10:00 am at the Quaboag Valley Baptist Church, 175 Fiskdale Rd, Brookfield, MA 01506. (Please meet at church).
