Lorraine (McDonald) Card,81, of Oxford died unexpectedly on Sunday May 14, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones in the UMASS Medical Center. Her husband Eugene L. Card Sr. died in 1987. Lorraine leaves her devoted family, sons; Eugene L. Card Jr. and his wife Sally of Charlton, Robert W. and Kevin Card, both of Worcester, Gary S. Card of Oxford, and David P. Card and his wife Ann of Worcester, her daughter Deborah A. Walker and her husband Scott of Oxford, and a daughter in law, Susan Card of Paxton. Lorraine also leaves two brothers Robert and Francis McDonald both of Worcester. Lorraine was the proud grandmother to, Derrick and Marissa Card, Mandi Caporelli, Felicia, Chad, and Zachary Walker, Jacqueline, Kathleen, and Matthew Card, Jennifer Card, and Nicole, Ashley, and Michael Anthony Card. She also leaves a great grandson Jacob Caporelli, and many nephews and nieces. Lorraine was predeceased by a son James R. Card of Paxton and several siblings. Lorraine was born in Worcester daughter of the late Ferdinand and Mary (Denio) McDonald and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford many years ago. She was a graduate of Classical High School. Lorraine loved being a homemaker and was a Dorm Mother for many years at the College of the Holy Cross. She was a former member of Sacred Heart Church. Her family was her love and joy throughout the years, especially her grandchildren. Lorraine enjoyed going to Bingo with her friends, and loved to travel, she also enjoyed a good day at the Casino! She will be sadly missed by her family and friends, Lorraine’s visitation will be held privately with her family and close friends. Her Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday May 22, 2017 in The Church of the Sacred Heart, 600 Cambridge St at 11:00AM. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery.
