John "Monty" Motonari Jr

 John ‘Monty” Montonari, Jr. 54, of Shrewsbury died unexpectedly at home Friday May 12, 2017. John is survived by his Father John Montonari Sr. of Shrewsbury, his son John-Michael Montonari of Worcester, his brother Anthony P. Montonari and his wife Kelly, two nieces, Erica, & Taylor and a nephew Anthony. John also leaves a great niece Gina Marie all of Shrewsbury and his former wife Paula Kostares, he also leaves several aunts uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Antoinette (Papagni) Montonari , and a sister Gina Marie George. John was born in Worcester and lived most of his life in Shrewsbury, he was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School. He worked for the City of Worcester Water Department for many years before he retired. John was a good guy and was always helping someone. He loved to fish, go on long drives, but most of all he enjoyed his family. John will be sadly missed by his family and friends.  Calling hours will be held on Wednesday evening May 17, from 5pm to 7pm. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 PLANTATION  St..
