Concetta "Tina" (DelConte) D’Angelo, 79, died peacefully Wednesday May 3, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. Concetta is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years Carmine N. D’Angelo, her loving children; a son Mark D’Angelo and his wife Linda of Portland, CT. two daughters Assunta (Sue) Peirce and her husband James of Charlton, and Patricia (Harkins)Florio and her husband Robert of Woodstock CT, She also leaves her sisters; Fernanda LoStracco and her husband Angelo of Worcester, Rosalba D’Amato and her husband Donato of Popoli, Italy, sisters in law, Anna Maria DelConte of Pescara Italy and Lucy D’Angelo of Worcester. Concetta was the proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Giovanni, Fernando, & Rocco DelConte all of Popoli Italy. Concetta was born in Popoli, Italy daughter of the late Bonifacio and Maria DelConte, and came to this country in 1963. Concetta being the traditional Italian Mother she loved being a homemaker for her family. She was a longtime member of the Church of Our Lady of Mt Carmel-St Ann and Our Lady of Loreto. Concetta was a member of the Madre Christiani (Christian Mothers), and was a devoted member of the S.S. Madonna Addorlorata Womens Society, (Our Lady of Sorrows). Concetta was known by many names: sister, mother, wife, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She devoted her life to her family and was the true embodiment of convivio, the Italian flare for generosity and making one feel at home. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and spending time at the Cape, but her true passion in life was spending time with her family and friends. She was a devout Catholic and lived by her principles: love, respect, and discipline. They broke the mold when they made her and we will all miss her dearly. Concetta’s funeral will be held Saturday May 6, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:30 in the Church of Our Lady of Loreto 33 Massasoit Rd. A period of calling hours will be held from 9AM to 11AM in the funeral home before departing for Church. Entombment will be in St. Johns Cemetery Mausoleum.
